belang in Infineon vrijwel ge
halveerd. Het Duitse elektroni
caconcern maakte vandaag be
kend 150 miljoen aandelen Infi
neon te hebben verkocht, waar
door het belang in zijn voorma
lige dochteronderneming is
verminderd van bijna 40 tot on
geveer 19 procent. Het aandeel
Infineon was vanmorgen 4,5
procent lager op 1,88 euro. Sie
mens zou de definitieve ver-
kooprijs van zijn voormalige
halfgeleiderdivisie later van
daag bekendmaken.
Adecco stelt
jaarcijfers uit
cheserex - Het Frans-Zwitserse
Adecco heeft de publicatie van
zijn resultaten over 2003 uitge
steld. Het grootste uitzendcon
cern ter wereld liet vandaag we
ten dat de cijfers, die voor 4 fe
bruari op de agenda stonden,
later worden bekendgemaakt
omdat de controle van de boe
ken niet op tijd klaar is. Volgens
het concern zijn er bij de con
trole van de activiteiten in de
VS enkele onvolkomenheden
aan het licht gekomen. Boven
dien moet er wellicht in enkele
andere landen een aantal ac
countantskwesties worden op
gelost. Adecco heeft een onaf
hankelijke commissie ingesteld.
Volgens een analist bestaat er
vrees voor weer een boekhoud
schandaal.
Winst gestegen
bij Van Lanschot
den bosch - Van Lanschot Ban
kiers heeft in de tweede helft
van 2003 goede zaken gedaan.
De bank zag de winst het afge
lopen jaar met ongeveer 9 pro
cent stijgen. Over de eerste zes
maanden van 2003 boekte de
Bossche bank 4,1 procent meer
winst. De nettowinst zal boven
de 100 miljoen euro uitkomen,
zei scheidend topman Baeten.
Het zal de eerste keer zijn dat
de winst van Van Lanschot bo
ven de 100 miljoen uitkomt. De
bank uit Den Bosch die sneed
in de kosten presenteert vrijdag
19 maart de volledige jaarcij
fers.
Obligaties banken
in Chinese yuans
Washington - De Wereldbank
en de Aziatische Ontwikkelings
bank zijn van plan om in China
obligaties uit te geven in yuans,
de Chinese munteenheid. Vol
gens de Japanse krant Yomiuri
is het voor het eerst dat buiten
landse financiële instellingen in
China schuldpapier in yuans
gaan uitgeven. Met het geld wil
len de Wereldbank en de Aziati
sche Ontwikkelingsbank ont
wikkelingsprojecten financie
ren. De Wereldbank voert nu
besprekingen met de Chinese
regering en de centrale bank in
Peking over de uitgifte van de
obligaties. De Wereldbank
maakt voor de financiering van
zijn ontwikkelingsprojecten ge
bruik van de kapitaalmarkt. De
bank kan door zijn hoge kre
dietwaardigheid tegen een lage
rente lenen. Dat geld leent de
bank weer aan ontwikkelings
landen. De meeste leningen
gaan in dollars.

koersdaling van de dollar zit het
Europese lucht- en ruimte
vaartconcern EADS niet lekker.
Het bedrijf sluit niet uit in de
toekomst vliegtuigen te produ
ceren in landen waar met de
dollar wordt betaald. Op die
manier zal het bedrijf minder
last hebben van de dure euro,
zoals nu. De Europese munt is
in 2003 ten opzichte van de dol
lar ongeveer 20 procent in
waarde gestegen. Dat maakt
producten van EADS dus min
der aantrekkelijk buiten de eu
rozone. Topman Camus lichtte
het idee zaterdag toe in de
Franse krant Le Monde. Hij zei
erover te denken 'onze indu
striële basis' in dollargebieden
te ontwikkelen, zoals in de VS.
De strategie is erop gericht om
meer kosten in dollars te ma
ken. In dat geval maakt het niet
meer uit als EADS ook in dol
lars wordt betaald, ook al gaat
de koers omlaag.
EADS is al in de VS bezig met
de bouw van een fabriek waar
helikopters in elkaar worden
gezet. Het bedrijf is ook bereid
om er tankvliegtuigen te gaan
bouwen, aldus Camus. De
vliegtuigmarkt wordt sterk door
de dollar gedomineerd.
De ideeën van Camus beteke
nen niet dat EADS de euro als
betaalmiddel vaarwel zegt. Het
bedrijf zou bepaalde contracten
zoals voor de levering van het
gevechtsvliegtuig A400M in eu
ro's kunnen opstellen. Vorig
jaar riep Camus Boeing op de
euro als standaardvaluta aan te
nemen. De oproep kwam op
een moment dat Airbus steeds
meer marktaandeel op Boeing
veroverde.

De beurzen begonnen de week
met verliezen. Uitzendbureaus
kregen een klap door boek
houdkundige problemen van
het Frans-Zwitserse Adecco.
Beleggers zijn na de schandalen
bij onder meer Enron, World
Com, Ahold en Parmalat be
ducht voor weer een 'boek-
houdhorror'.
In Amsterdam was de AEX om
elf uur 1,93 punten gezakt naar
341,59 punten. Een daling van
0,56 procent. In Londen stond
de FTSE-index procent 0,25 la
ger. De CAC-index in Parijs
