Het meest verbijsterende televi
siemoment zat gisteravond
natuurlijk in het NOS Jour
naal. Ik dacht nog even dat de The
Beatles de opstanding van John Len-
non en George Harrison bekend had
den gemaakt Maar de hysterische
menigte voor het Amsterdamse Hotel
Krasnapolsky krijste de twee Idols-fi-
nalisten Jim en Jamai toe. Sinds de
uitvaart van Pim Fortuyn ben ik niet
meer zo verbaasd geweest over de ge
moedstoestand van een verzameling
landgenoten.
Verwijt me nou niet dat ik niks heb
met programma's waarin vals wordt
gezongen.
Gisteravond weer met veel genoegen
gekeken naar Met het mes op tafel, de
finale van dit seizoen. In de bluf- en
kennisquiz zit elke aflevering wel een
duet waarin barvrouw Myiou Frenc-
ken en pianist Martin van Dijk de vul-

boert Van Putten ook in Ethiopië,
een land dat zwaar is getroffen door
een hongersnood.
Medische missers (RTL 5,22.20
uur): Dokters zijn mensen en maken
dus fouten in diagnose en behande
ling van hun patiënten. Maar datge
ne wat de krant haalt, blijkt slechts
het topje van de ijsberg. Voor medici
is het toegeven van fouten taboe,
maar toch zijn er artsen en specialis
ten die durven vertellen over hun ei
gen ervaringen.
Na de diagnose (Nederland 1,
2237 uur): Leven met voortdurend
helse pijn in je been is bijna niet vol
te houden, maar amputatie van dat
lichaamsdeel is een wel heel rigou
reuze maatregel. Patiënten die lijden
aan posttraumatische dystrofie (PD)
moeten toch kiezen uit deze twee
kwaden. In deze uitzendingen ver
tellen drie vrouwen over een leven
met PD en hun dilemma: ampute
ren... of niet?

Er stond gisteravond 10.000 euro op
het spel en na afhaken van Leidenaar
Chaudron in de eerste ronde werd
het een zinderende aflevering. In de
beslissende ronde hadden de kandi
daten alle vragen fout, in de herkan
sing ieder eentje en moest uiteindelijk
een 'shoot out' de winnaar aanwij
zen. Het leuke aan Met het mes op ta
fel is datje thuis heel behoorlijk kunt
meespelen omdat het niveau iets on

En opnieuw slaagde Prinsen er met
zijn openlijke bewondering in om ons

Frank en Nancy Sinatra naar de
kroon hadden gestoken.
Maar ons Nederlanders kun je op dit
terrein van alles wijsmaken. Dat had
